The Moonlit Night

When I raised my head above
The moon with all its glory filled me with love
The moonlit night, it was, in all its splendour
And the whole world asleep behind their closed door.

I now remember at this very night
How you wept silently that previous moonless night
When during the day we had a dispute and a fight
That it brought you to tears inspite
Of how hard I tried to stop them straight

This moonlit night,
Let us keep our fears aside
That has been gathered from morn to night
Since these days gone by
And with each other we'll sit beside.

The beat of my heart calls you
And welcomes you with bated breath
As in your separation, my breath, I find heavy.
Let's share the joys and sorrows
And walk together, hand-in-hand.
